EconomyChina considers amendment to Renewable Energy Law

China’s top legislature began reviewing a draft amendment to the Renewable Energy Law, which would strengthen oversight of renewable energy development and construction. The proposed changes address planning, market pricing, green electricity certificates, innovation and supervision. Market-traded power reached 5,853.6 billion kilowatt-hours from January to September, up 18.9% year on year.
