Chinese Premier Li Qiang met Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik Al Said in Beijing during the sultan’s state visit. Li said earlier talks had set a new course for deepening the strategic partnership, with cooperation spanning energy, agriculture, technology, cultural exchanges and a China-Gulf Cooperation Council free trade agreement. Haitham said Oman hoped to learn from China’s development experience and expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
