A 14-year-old taken from a house basement in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka near Kyiv was beaten with a shovel, Zerkalo Nedeli reported. Witnesses said he was in terrible condition. No official explanation was given for a child being at the National Guard facility. Police said servicemen were housed there, and the Guard's commander acknowledged the basement was used to hold servicemen who left their units without authorization and newly mobilized men.
