TechFord pledges not to sell driving data to data brokers

Ford says it will never sell customers’ driving data to third-party data brokers. It plans to protect data through aggregation and anonymization and let customers adjust how much they share. The pledge follows General Motors’ $220 million settlement over claims involving driver and location data; Ford notes that a public promise is not itself a legal contract.
