PoliticsPutin orders private data centers to reserve 10% of capacity for the state
Vladimir Putin signed a decree requiring Russian private data center owners to set aside 10% of their available space and capacity for state needs. A special government commission will decide when it is needed, and—with the Federal Security Service’s consent—may authorize use of data centers abroad. The decree is in force, with owners given 10 days to comply.
