TechEuropean supermarkets targeted in second reported cyberattack
Supermarkets in Sweden, Belgium, Luxembourg and Estonia reported freezer malfunctions on Monday in an apparent cyberattack resembling an incident in France three weeks earlier. Affected chains said refrigeration systems had stopped or been impaired, forcing stores to discard spoiled products. Belgian prosecutors opened a criminal investigation, and Sweden’s National Cybersecurity Center is investigating.
