EconomySouth Korea plans billions in AI and semiconductor investment

Lee Jae Myung said South Korea will invest 21.3 trillion won, nearly twice this year’s amount, in AI and projects including semiconductors, physical AI and AI data centres. A further 4.7 trillion won is planned for frontier AI development. The record budget proposal for next year requires parliamentary approval.
