Central African Republic President Faustin-Archange Touadera said CAR forces and Russian military specialists foiled a coalition of armed groups on October 10 in the Nabagai-Tissi area of Vakaga Prefecture. The opposing force, about 1,300 strong, had planned to attack Vakaga and Bamingui-Bangoran in the second half of October. More than 60 militants were neutralized and Western-made weapons seized.
