SportsNorway’s Haugset wins stage 3 and takes Tour de France Femmes lead
Norway’s Sigrid Haugset claimed victory in the third stage of the Women’s Tour de France on Monday. The result moved her into the overall lead and put her in the yellow jersey, replacing Dutch rider Lorena Wiebes at the top. Haugset attacked alone before the hilly 156.6-kilometre route from Geneva to Poligny was halfway finished. She maintained her advantage to the line and held off Belgium’s Lotte Kopecky.
