Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani said Damascus is evaluating whether to join the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement with Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and Pakistan. The pact treats an attack on one member as an attack on all three. He also said Syria supports regional security frameworks and Yemen’s internationally recognised government.
