WorldLavrov denies report that Moscow is pushing for Putin-Zelensky phone call
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Oct. 30 denied that Moscow was seeking a phone call between Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky instead of an in-person meeting. Ukrainian officials told the Kyiv Independent that Russia had tried to arrange a call, which they fear could help Putin avoid substantive talks. Lavrov said, “Don't trust them,” and reiterated that Zelensky should travel to Moscow.
