More than 50 observers from the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Collective Security Treaty Organization are set to monitor parliamentary elections in Kazakhstan. Accreditation for observers from foreign countries and international organizations will remain open through August 17. The measure concerns international oversight of the parliamentary voting process.
