WorldSwiss Supreme Court upholds 20-year sentence for former Liberian rebel commander

Switzerland’s top court upheld Alieu Kosiah’s 20-year sentence for war crimes committed during Liberia’s first civil war, but overturned his conviction for crimes against humanity. It said the offence was added to Swiss law in 2011 and could not be applied retroactively to acts from 1993 to 1995.
