TechExclusive details about Akai’s MPC Sample Key

Akai says it plans to open-source the MPC Sample Key’s software, though its launch date and price are unknown. Exclusive images suggest the 37-key instrument is geared toward pitched sample playback rather than drum chopping, with pitch and mod wheels, chord and arpeggiator buttons, and a looper.
