PoliticsRussia adds opposition platform and independent publisher to ‘undesirable’ registry
Russia’s Justice Ministry added independent publisher Vidim Books and the Platform for Dialogue with Russian Democratic Forces at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to its “undesirable” organizations registry. Eleven groups were added in total; most were declared undesirable on October 20, according to a document, though the decision was not announced then. Cooperation with such organizations can lead to criminal prosecution.
