Archaeologists found makeup tools, a perfume bottle, coins and a child’s charm necklace in a wooden wardrobe sealed by Mount Vesuvius’s eruption nearly 2,000 years ago. The coins and personal belongings may indicate the home’s occupants fled in haste. Other finds include cooking pots and the remains of two mice.
