African countries want more investment by Russian companies and joint industrial production on the continent, African Union Chairperson and Burundi President Evariste Ndayishimiye said. He said Africa aims to move beyond exporting raw materials and importing finished goods, and called for such partnerships to be prioritized in the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum’s 2027–2029 action plan.
