TechClaude users say accounts were banned after Russian passport verification

Claude users say Anthropic blocked their accounts immediately after they uploaded Russian documents for identity checks through Persona. Similar complaints came from Russian document holders living in New Zealand, Georgia and Armenia. The reason for the current blocks is unclear, Anthropic has not commented, and its policy does not specify restrictions based on nationality or citizenship.
