EconomyECB President Christine Lagarde to step down in February
The European Central Bank says Christine Lagarde will leave her post on February 7, 2027, nine months before her eight-year term ends. European Council President Antonio Costa said the process to find her successor would begin immediately. Lagarde has not given a reason for leaving early.
