WorldFSB says it uncovered new cases of teenagers recruited through dating bot

Russia’s Federal Security Service said Ukrainian intelligence services used the Telegram Dayvinchik/Leo match bot to recruit Russian teenagers for sabotage and terrorist acts through deception and psychological manipulation. It said eight minors and two adults were detained in August and September 2026 over alleged arson attacks or transferring fraud proceeds, and 56 Russians aged 12 to 24 have been detained since July 2025.
