Society‘Worldwide legacy’: Nearly $20m raised to protect far-north Queensland land

Bush Heritage has raised more than $19m in private donations to buy and protect Wooroora station, a largely intact tract of more than 20,000 hectares that is home to at least 12 threatened species. It needs another $5.3m by 24 December to meet the purchase and initial management costs. Jirrbal representatives hope to regain access and help manage the reserve.
