TechFormer Russian internet censor wrote most of AIVPN code, The Bell reports
The Bell reports that Vladislav Minakov, a former employee of a Russian agency involved in blocking websites, is now AIVPN’s lead developer. The service is designed to bypass government website blocks, and The Bell’s analysis found Minakov wrote nearly 90% of the latest release’s source code. Some experts raised concerns about his background, while Minakov said the project is unrelated to his main job and its code is open to inspection.
