Myroslava Kharchenko, a lawyer with the Save Ukraine Foundation, told DW that preparations to evacuate residents began after a temporary ceasefire took effect in Russian-occupied Oleshky on October 27. About 2,000 people remain there, and organizers are gathering registration and health information.
