Thirty-four members of Congress are urging the FTC to conduct a full investigation into alleged widespread overcharging by major convenience-store and dollar-store chains. Guardian investigations found mismatches between shelf and register prices at Dollar General, Family Dollar, 7-Eleven and Circle K. The FTC and 20 states have also sued Dollar General over pricing practices.
