Ukraine’s parliament approved the 2027 budget draft in its first reading with 239 votes. Security and defense account for about two-thirds of planned spending, while the projected deficit is nearly Hr 1.7 trillion. The government is to revise the proposal following parliamentary recommendations and is expected to submit a final draft for a second reading in November.
