HealthUS dementia cases projected to rise dramatically by 2050, study finds

A study projects global annual new dementia cases will more than double, from 11.4 million in 2023 to 24.7 million in 2050. Annual diagnoses in the US are forecast to rise from 514,000 in 2020 to 1 million by 2060, adding pressure to a care system already short of workers and facing funding cuts, experts say.
