SportsBarcelona fined $670 for approaching Atletico’s Alvarez

The Spanish FA fined Barcelona 602 euros ($670) after Atletico Madrid complained that the club contacted Julian Alvarez without first giving written notice. FIFA said it had no jurisdiction. Alvarez had apologised for saying he wanted to join Barcelona, then scored in consecutive games for Atletico and received a standing ovation from some home fans.
