PoliticsNetanyahu’s party leads Israel election, but opposition bloc is projected to win more seats
An exit poll from state-run broadcaster Kan-11 projects Likud will take 25 of the Knesset’s 120 seats, with Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar party second on 21. The opposition bloc is forecast to win 53 seats against 50 for Netanyahu’s bloc. Arab parties are projected to get 17, but neither side is ready to form a coalition with them; neither bloc reaches the 61-seat majority threshold.
