SocietyReviews say Omsk residents are being taken from the streets and sent to war
Reviews on the 2GIS page for Omsk’s Sirius-55 recruitment center say residents are being seized from the street, forced to sign contracts with Russia’s Defense Ministry, and sent to war. Complaints first appeared in March and rose again in September and October. One woman said her father-in-law was taken there on October 25, beaten, and later needed medical care. Rights advocates said reports of similar roundups had come from 33 Russian regions and annexed Crimea by October 22.
