WorldUK charges two men over suspected Iran-linked incident at RAF Fairford
British prosecutors charged two men under the National Security Act after an incident near RAF Fairford in September. One is accused of assisting a foreign intelligence service; the other of entering a prohibited place for a purpose prejudicial to the UK. Counterterrorism police believe Iran was the country involved. The base had been used by U.S. bombers to strike Iran, and around a dozen B-1 bombers were later withdrawn on security grounds. The charges are not findings of guilt.
