WorldJoint aid to Alyoshki may promote humanitarian understanding, governor says
Kherson Region Governor Vladimir Saldo said a humanitarian operation organized by Russia, Ukraine and the United States for Alyoshki residents could be a first step toward greater mutual understanding on humanitarian issues and offer organizational lessons. Russian forces began a ceasefire along the Kherson front early on October 27 to prepare for the operation. Russia and Ukraine had earlier agreed to a local truce to enable aid deliveries and civilian evacuation preparations.
