EconomySpot gas prices double, GECF says

International spot gas prices have more than doubled since February as LNG imports in Europe and Asia declined, the Gas Exporting Countries Forum secretary general said. Normalized LNG supplies and new liquefaction facilities could ease market pressure, while prolonged disruptions would have wider consequences for energy security and economic stability.
