Microsoft says it will offer voluntary buyouts to roughly 60,000 eligible employees in selected parts of the company across the United States, India, Canada and the United Kingdom. The offer comes as the company manages costs while investing in AI infrastructure and data centers, and follows an earlier voluntary retirement program and layoffs in its Xbox division this year.
