TechHighway thieves use GPS spoofing to steal millions in data center cargo

Thieves reportedly hack freight brokers’ accounts, post fake loads and send malicious links to trucking firms that respond, taking over their accounts to bid on real shipments. Cargo is then diverted to accomplices for resale; in one major theft, tracking coordinates were spoofed to evade digital monitoring. More than $100 million in data center freight has been stolen since June.
