TechInstagram pushes longer, widescreen videos to compete with YouTube

Instagram is expanding into longform horizontal video with a feature called “Features.” The format is in a small US test and is also being tested with some creators in Brazil. Instagram is separately trying clips that point to longer videos, Reels series, and improved live-video discovery.
