Alexander Kondratov, production designer for the TV series Likvidatsiya, died at a Moscow hospital after being arrested on treason charges, the human rights group Department One said. Activists said he was transferred there from pretrial detention on October 23; the cause of death was not disclosed. Kondratov had lived in Kyiv since 2012 and was detained at Vnukovo Airport while visiting Russia to renew his passport.
