CultureGlobal creators revitalize Jingdezhen’s millennia-old craft

Jingdezhen is drawing visitors and creators from China and abroad to its handmade porcelain tradition. In 2025, the city received more than 43 million domestic tourists and over 150,000 inbound visitors. Nearly 5,000 ceramic artists and young creators from more than 50 countries and regions have settled there. Spanish artist Pep Boadas has returned for a second residency to create and study ceramic techniques.
