The Yeyahu Wetland Nature Reserve in Beijing’s Yanqing District has joined the IUCN Green List, becoming the first listed site in Beijing and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Officials say restoration has revived more than 13 square kilometers of degraded wetland. The reserve hosts over 100,000 migratory birds annually, and its recorded bird species have increased from 189 to 374.
