CultureBlue Planet III keeps rough edges in the age of AI
BBC’s Blue Planet III is retaining imperfect shots that earlier installments might have cut, aiming to demonstrate that its footage is authentic. Executive producer Elizabeth White says the series will leave in details such as plankton, boats and poor water conditions, rather than making the ocean look overly polished. The series also shows striking animal behaviors, which White says are likely more remarkable than AI could imagine.
