TechBureau 1440 says Rassvet satellite constellation will comprise hundreds of spacecraft
Dmitry Agafonov, a deputy CEO at Bureau 1440, said Russia’s Rassvet low-Earth orbit constellation will include several hundred spacecraft linked by laser terminals to provide next-generation satellite communications. Its polar orbit design is intended to provide broad coverage across Russia and support uses such as geological exploration and emergency response. Terminals are due to be installed on more than 500 trains by 2027.
