China’s shipbuilding industry remained the global leader in the first three quarters of 2026, according to figures released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Output rose 50.7% year on year and new orders climbed 163.2%. China took 81.8% of worldwide new orders and 74.1% of orders for green-powered vessels.
