CultureChina unveils first five-year plan for cultural heritage

China has issued its first five-year plan for protecting and preserving cultural heritage. For 2026–2030, it plans to draft heritage protection laws, survey movable relics and complete a catalog of cultural heritage assets by 2030. The previous plan period saw more than 6.2 billion museum visits and 224,000 exhibitions nationwide.
