EconomyHSBC launches RedCoin stablecoin for 3.3 million Hong Kong PayMe users

HSBC will roll out its Hong Kong dollar-backed stablecoin in stages from Friday to more than 3.3 million PayMe users. Available only through PayMe and the bank’s Hong Kong mobile app, RedCoin will initially enable peer-to-peer transfers and payments to merchants on PayMe.
