EconomyPC shipments fell more than 20 percent in Q3 as memory prices rose
Counterpoint Research says global PC shipments fell 21 percent year over year in Q3 2026 as component costs rose. More expensive RAM, SSDs and chips from Intel, AMD and Qualcomm pushed up computer prices. It expects shipments to plunge 27 percent in Q4 and stay broadly flat in 2027, cautioning that stabilization is not recovery.
