Beijing’s plan to hire more tax officers next year is drawing attention from businesses and wealthy families as compliance rises on the policy agenda and enforcement intensifies. China’s 2027 civil service recruitment plan lists 24,013 tax-related jobs, over 67% of all vacancies, up from more than 65% a year earlier; most are at local branches of the State Taxation Administration.
