China’s Jilin province has exported more than 106 million yuan ($14.6 million) worth of matsutake so far this year. By Oct. 8, Yanji Customs had cleared 371 metric tons, with export volume up 45% and value up 86.8% year on year. Fresh shipments now reach South Korea within 48 hours.
