China, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand began their 170th joint patrol and law enforcement operation on the Mekong, with more than 100 officers attending a launch ceremony in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan. The patrol will target cross-border crimes, check navigation hazards and be accompanied by a four-country information-sharing meeting in Laos.
