CultureA sound walk through Beijing: The city’s raw sonic notes

The 29th Beijing Music Festival has ended with performances ranging from classic symphonies to boundary-pushing classical rock, marking Mozart’s 270th birthday. Before attending the orchestra, Julian Waghann roamed from Qianmen gate to the NCPA, recording city sounds including tram bells, teahouse pours, ear chimes and bicycle bells.
