SportsChinese table tennis star Fan Zhendong speaks out against covert filming

Fan Zhendong said Wednesday that filming people without consent violates privacy and shows disrespect, whatever the filmer’s identity or intent. On Weibo, he added that doing so in the name of affection or sharing the footage later does not change that. He said he welcomes rational fans and friendly passersby, but cannot tell whether people filming him while approaching him are fans or seeking online traffic.
