Dozens of prominent writers, actors and activists have signed an open letter supporting Irish novelist Sally Rooney and denouncing the UK law used to proscribe Palestine Action as a “repressive absurdity.” Rooney says her books were withdrawn from UK sale because of her public support for the group, which the British government designated a “terrorist organisation.”
